Liviu Mihăileanu joined ARFO in June 2015 as a representative of the Alliance to lobby and promote advocacy. Liviu is co-author of the first book on lobbying in Romania (“Reglementarea activităţii de lobby. În anticamera influenţei“, Ed. C.H.Beck, 2009), as well as the first study highlighting the opinions of the lobbyists, politicians and public opinion in Romania (“Lobby în România”, 2012). Having 17 years of expertise in management and legal advice, he has offered assistance on the conformation of the public institutions to regulations of the European Union and has developed major projects in the management of risk and conformity.
Currently, he is leading operations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India in the knowledge management department for a multinational legal advice company. He is also the co-founder of the “Tzuby’s Kids” Association which supports adoption and the placement of abandoned children in families.
Liviu is married and has two foster children. He and his wife are certified trainers by the ANC/CNFPA and members of the Trauma Consortium for ARFO. Since December 2015, they have held training courses on behavior management in children with a traumatic history as part of the Consortium. The courses are based on the TBRI methodology (Trust-Based Relational Intervention®), by Dr. Karyn B. Purvis and Dr. David R. Cross for TCU Institute of Child Development.
